Identification of textile fibers
Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• identify different types of textile fibers
• identify fibers with burning test.
Requirements
Tools/Equipment’s/Instruments Materials
• Notebook - 1 No. • Cotton fiber - 5 gms
• Pencil - 1 No. • Silk fiber - 5 gms
• Eraser - 1 No. • Wool fiber - 5 gms
• Sharpener - 1 No. • Nylon fiber - 5 gms
• Match box. - as reqd. • Polyster - 5 gms
• Acrylic - 5 gms
PROCEDURE
TASK 1: Identify fibers with visual inspection
